Sony cameras write ARW files, and while they are great for editing, they are not great for sharing. If you just want a JPG to send, you do not need a full raw editor.
What ARW is
ARW is Sony's raw format. It holds the full sensor data, which is why it needs decoding before anyone can view it as a normal picture.
Convert in your browser, privately
ChromVel decodes ARW locally with WebAssembly. Drop the file, pick JPG, download. There is no upload step at all, so your raw files never leave your machine.
Pro tip
For large batches (more than 15 files), Pro removes the batch cap entirely and supports files up to 500 MB each.
